About Green Card
Zones and periods
Zone 1 is Ukraine, and zone 3 includes all Green Card system member states. Zone 2 is not issued after Russia and Belarus were suspended from the system. The minimum term is 15 days and the maximum is 12 months.
Digital certificate
Since 1 January 2025, the electronic PDF certificate shown on a phone or tablet is valid without printing. Handwritten certificates are no longer issued.
An accident abroad
If you cause an accident abroad, the Bureau or correspondent in the accident country pays the victim on behalf of your insurer.
How the price is formed
The reference premium depends on the selected zone, vehicle category and period. Prices are in euros and paid in lei at the official rate on the day of purchase. The official trailer coefficient for the towing vehicle is 0.1.
